Payroller Full-time Permanent The Opportunity Synergem Recruitment is working with a successful and fast-paced service-based organisation in Leeds to recruit an experienced Payroller to join their established team. This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional who enjoys working in a busy environment, takes pride in delivering an accurate and efficient payroll service, and enjoys building strong relationships across the business. The Role Reporting into the wider finance team, responsibilities will include: - Processing payroll accurately and ensuring employees are paid correctly and on time - Managing new starters, contractual amendments and leavers - Administering PAYE processes, issuing P45s and responding to payroll-related queries - Completing payroll calculations, including manual calculations where required - Processing statutory payments including SSP, SMP and SPP - Supporting year-end payroll procedures - Producing and distributing payslips within agreed timescales - Preparing pension documentation and supporting pension submissions - Reconciling pension control accounts - Investigating and resolving payroll queries, providing a high level of service to employees and stakeholders About You To be successful in this role, you'll ideally have: - Previous payroll experience within a fast-paced or high-volume environment - Strong working knowledge of payroll legislation and statutory payments - Good Excel and general systems skills - Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to liaise with colleagues at all levels - Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities - A positive, proactive approach and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service
