Semi-Senior Accountant
Remote Working | West Yorkshire | Permanent, Full-time
Synergem Recruitment is partnering with a fast-growing accountancy practice to recruit an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Semi-Senior Accountant.
This is a remote position suited to someone based in West Yorkshire, with occasional travel to the firm’s office in Hull. It offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced practice accountant to develop their technical knowledge, manage their own workload and build strong client relationships.
The Role
You will be responsible for:
- Preparing year-end accounts for limited companies
- Preparing corporation tax returns
- Reviewing client records and identifying missing information or discrepancies
- Posting year-end adjustments, including accruals, prepayments and depreciation
- Liaising directly with clients to resolve queries
- Managing HMRC and Companies House submissions
- Ensuring accounts and tax assignments are completed accurately and on time
- Supporting colleagues across the wider accounts team
About You
You will ideally have:
- At least three years’ experience within an accountancy practice
- Experience preparing limited company accounts and supporting workpapers
- A good understanding of corporation tax
- Confidence using accounting software and Excel
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage deadlines
- A professional and confident approach to client communication
AAT-qualified, part-qualified ACCA and qualified-by-experience candidates will all be considered. Experience with Xero, Sage Cloud or accounts production software would be advantageous.
