I am delighted to be working in partnership with a well-established and growing manufacturing business, who are looking to appoint an ambitious Management Accountant into a highly visible and varied finance role. This is an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified accountant looking to broaden their experience across management accounting, financial reporting, payroll, cash flow management and business partnering, whilst working closely with senior stakeholders across the organisation.
This is a broad and progressive position, offering a blend of financial reporting, operational finance and commercial support responsibilities. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, supporting business performance and driving continuous improvement across the finance function.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts and detailed variance analysis
- Supporting month-end close activities, including journals, accruals, prepayments and fixed assets
- Completing balance sheet reconciliations and group reporting requirements
- Managing payroll processes and associated HMRC submissions
- Preparing VAT returns and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
- Supporting cash flow management and forecasting activities
- Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and annual audit processes
- Working closely with operational departments to provide financial insight and support decision making
- Supporting inventory controls and stock accounting processes
- Identifying opportunities for process improvements across finance operations
About You
- Part-qualified CIMA or ACCA
- Proven experience producing management accounts
- Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUPs, VLOOKUPs and SUMIFS
- Experience of cash flow management and financial analysis
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain financial information to non-finance stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills
- A proactive and results-focused approach
Desirable Experience
- Manufacturing sector experience
- Experience working with MRP or ERP systems
- Previous experience in a similar Management Accountant position
