We are delighted to be working in partnership with a well-established business who are looking to appoint an ambitious Assistant Accountant into a varied and commercially focused finance role. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career finance professional with experience within a manufacturing environment who is looking to develop their skills across cost accounting, financial analysis and business partnering.

The Role

  • Monitoring and analysing standard costs and manufacturing variances across materials, labour and overheads
  • Supporting month-end close activities relating to manufacturing operations
  • Working closely with production and operational teams to understand financial performance and identify areas for improvement
  • Supporting inventory valuation and ensuring the accuracy of manufacturing costs
  • Assisting with budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Producing detailed variance analysis and providing insight into business performance
  • Partnering with operational and commercial stakeholders to support profitability improvements and cost optimisation initiatives
  • Supporting pricing, margin and profitability analysis
