The Marketing Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the planning, development, and execution of resources and strategies that support and drive the client’s Marketing functional area. They will serve as the liaison between the Syneos Health functions and units that they oversee and the client.
Job Responsibilities
- Analyse markets based on launch sequencing and optimal resourcing and help develop the integrated commercialization point of view to support business development.
- Design resourcing recommendations for market insight generation, commercialization planning and launch KPIs.
- Lead consultative workshops with the customer to develop the early launch plan (hypothesis) to develop and deliver market landscape assessment, a forecast model for launch scenario planning and a directional launch plan.
- Prioritise market insight needs/gaps and research methods required to finalise the launch plan.
- Be the client’s primary point of contact for designated ad communications projects/activities.
- Act as a role model with embracing and operationalising the Full-Service Commercial Model.
- Support senior client management and implement strategies and tactics that are aligned with the best interest of the client.
- Take ownership of target project P&L and synchronise business planning timelines with financial business calendar.
- Ensure all assigned activities and deliverables are completed with the highest quality work, on time, and on budget.
- Monitor and report on performance/progress of assigned marketing activities aligned to the brand.
- Anticipate client needs and issues before they occur and collaborate to develop effective solutions.
- Participate in weekly Marketing functional sub-team meetings.
- Work collaboratively with other Functional Leads and Medical and Commercial Leads.
- Coordinate with PMO and Program Finance to ensure proper reporting and budget management.
- Apply own knowledge and operational experience to ensure successful delivery throughout the project.
- Support development of Senior Leadership presentations and training as needed.
- Support work delegated to vendor partners to ensure quality and timely completion.
Technical Expertise Required
- Execute the marketing strategy and commercial launch plan aligned with product strategy, forecast, and market development.
- Implement marketing activities across Medical Communications, PR, Advertising, Omnichannel, and Digital.
- Act as the supporting client contact for all assigned marketing strategy and deliverables.
- Manage across Syneos Business Units and marketing disciplines.
- Help evolve client marketing strategy through research and competitor insights.
- Coordinate with Medical Affairs for alignment on marketing activities.
- Support external KOL relationships, speaker training programs, and advisory panels.
- Support commercial strategy at congresses and meetings.
- Support omni-channel CRM and digital media strategies.
- Collaborate with Sales Training and Leadership to optimise field sales effectiveness.
Qualification Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred with 5 years related work experience.
- At least 2 years of pharmaceutical marketing experience.
- Proven success across multiple marketing disciplines such as PR, CRM, Digital, Media, etc.
- Experience in matrixed environments.
- Understanding of pharmaceutical trends and ability to translate data into actions.
- Launch experience in client‑specific therapeutic area and Global Launch Experience a plus.
- Strategic and tactical planning capabilities.
- Ability to manage competing stakeholder priorities and build consensus.
- Strong collaboration and relationship‑building skills.
- Excellent project management and communication skills.
- Financial acumen and ability to manage functional budgets.
