This role will act as the UK/Ireland B.I Lead reporting into the Global Business Intelligence and Analytics Head, partnering with the local country leads and general managers of the 8 countries within your remit. This role is therefore suitable for pharma/biotech commercial intelligence specialists capable of owning their given country/region's insights and analytics capabilities, partnering with the senior leadership team whilst working within a global group.
The core responsibility of the Regional BI&A Lead is to provide business intelligence, analytics and insights across a growing portfolio to support finance, sales and brand teams during a period of major growth. The relevant profile is most likely to have the following background:
- Forecasting ownership – hands on experience of leading the forecast submission for their region, working alongside finance, the wider field-force and business unit heads to ensure strategic planning and core decision making is supported by such analysis.
- Hands-on experience of country-level data sets primarily NHS/trust data.
- Business partnering should be a core aspect of the successful candidate’s recent career, where this position will work closely with the country and wider EMEA regional heads.
- Experience having worked alongside finance to provide strategic input to financial decision making.
- The candidate is likely to have strong experience in business transformation projects - our client's recent portfolio growth is set to continue.
- The candidate is likely to have previously held senior manager or associate director positions within a B.I related field.
This role will entail:
- Supporting strategic business decision making through the provision of recommendations based on solid evidence for the region and more broadly for the global organisation.
- Working with sub national value analytics - analytics at the NHS hospital/trust level coupling that with internal CRM and financial data to make strategic commercial decisions.
- Optimising the sales performance and profitability of brands via customer insights/intelligence to generate key recommendations amongst strategic discussions.
- Providing partnering support to their wider global teams as part of ongoing global projects often spread out to regional leads.
- Providing analytics support to sales management of the region to ensure optimal and timely reporting and insights to the sales organisation.
- Build and maintain data structures and visualisation with both global, local and support team.
- Lifecycle management: Provide core support to both short and medium-term strategic planning; including pre-launch and post launch products, including input to the generation of 5-year forecasts for strategic planning purposes from a regional standpoint.
- Develop and present local/regional insight plans including market research and wider commercial analytics.
