6 week paid placement | Syneos Health
You’re curious, proactive, and keen to learn how great ideas turn into real‑world campaigns. You might be studying, recently finished education, exploring a career change, or simply looking for hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced agency environment. Whatever your path, you’re organised, motivated, and ready to get stuck in. At Syneos Health, you’ll gain exposure to one of our specialist teams—Public Relations, Advertising, or Medical Communications—supporting work for leading healthcare and pharmaceutical clients. This internship is designed to give you meaningful, practical experience. You won’t just observe—you’ll contribute.
What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting the coordination and delivery of campaigns and projects
- Conducting research (e.g. media, competitors, healthcare topics, audiences)
- Assisting with content development (e.g. social posts, press materials, presentations, or internal documents)
- Monitoring media, social, or campaign performance and summarising findings
- Helping maintain trackers, status reports, and project timelines
- Supporting meeting preparation and writing notes or summaries
- Contributing ideas during team brainstorms
- Assisting with general team organisation and admin tasks
You’ll also have the opportunity to learn how different disciplines (PR, advertising, medical communications) work together to deliver integrated campaigns.
What we’re looking for:
We’re more interested in your mindset and potential than your background. You might be a great fit if you:
- Demonstrable interest in communications, marketing, healthcare, or science
- Are passionate about and have a clear purpose to advance outcomes for healthcare
- Are organised and able to manage your time effectively
- Show curiosity and a willingness to learn
- Communicate clearly, both written and verbal
- Pay attention to detail
- Are comfortable working in a team and contributing ideas
- Bring a positive, proactive attitude
Helpful (but not essential):
- Experience (academic, personal, or professional) creating content or working on projects
- Familiarity with tools like Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or social media platforms
What you’ll gain:
- Hands‑on experience in a global communications agency
- Exposure to real client work across PR, advertising, and/or medical communications
- Insight into the healthcare and pharmaceutical sector
- Mentorship and feedback from experienced professionals
- A clearer understanding of potential career paths in communications

At Syneos Health, we’re committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds—whether you’re at university, recently finished school, returning to work, or taking a different path into the industry. If you’re excited about the opportunity but unsure if you meet every requirement, we encourage you to apply.
Why join us:
