Job Responsibilities

  • Heavy statistical programming and data review for real‑world (RW) data analyses.
  • Experience with commercial databases such as Optum, HealthVerity, or IQVIA PharmMetrics.
  • Support protocol and statistical analysis plan (SAP) review for epidemiologists.
  • ICD knowledge and experience with clinical terminology.
  • Develop and maintain databases and data specifications (e.g., OMOP CDM).
  • Create and validate analysis datasets, tables, listings, graphs, and other deliverables.
  • Review data and program outputs against protocol requirements and flag issues.
  • Identify and resolve messy data issues, proposing solutions.
  • Use SQL, SAS, R (or Python) to develop custom programming code for RW datasets.
  • Ensure outputs meet quality standards, follow SOPs and regulatory guidelines (ICH, etc.).
  • Maintain thorough documentation, testing, and verification records for inspection readiness.
  • Manage scheduling and time constraints across multiple projects, prioritising tasks based on management goals.
  • Participate in internal and sponsor meetings, providing input on study protocols and specifications.
  • Mentor junior programmers and develop training materials.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • Education: Undergraduate or master’s degree in a scientific or statistical discipline (e.g., biostatistics, mathematics, epidemiology).
  • Data Experience: eHR, claims data (Optum, HealthVerity, IQVIA PharmMetrics). Nice to have: MarketScan, VA, Medicaid, Medicare.
  • Programming Languages: SAS or R (must have SQL).
  • Experience with cohort derivation and index‑date definition.
  • Statistical modeling: GLM, logistic regression, Cox proportional hazards, propensity score matching, incidence computation.
  • OMOP CDM understanding and ability to transform healthcare data into a common format.
  • Experience with AI/ML for LLM and workflow is ideal (e.g., AI/ML modeling, GitHub version control).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluency in English.

Salary Range $80,600.00 – $145,000.00
