Job Responsibilities:
- Use SAS or other software to develop custom programming code to generate summary tables, data listings, graphs and derived datasets as specified.
- Ensure outputs meet quality standards and project requirements.
- Perform validation programming and collaborate with Programmers, Biostatisticians and other project team members to resolve discrepancies.
- Keep project team members informed of programming progress and issues.
- Follow applicable SOPs, WIs and regulatory guidelines (e.g., ICH).
- Maintain well organized, complete and up-to-date project documentation, testing and verification/quality control documents to ensure inspection readiness.
- Manage scheduling and time constraints across multiple projects, set goals, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Develop specifications for datasets and outputs, anticipating and addressing potential programming issues.
- Prepare for internal meetings, contribute ideas and demonstrate respect for opinions of others.
- Conduct effective internal meetings, distribute relevant information and follow action items through to completion.
- Display willingness to work with others and assist with projects as necessary.
- Negotiate and establish accurate time estimates for completion of study programming activities.
- Act as the lead statistical programmer, direct programming activities of other personnel and monitor progress.
- Review project documentation such as Statistical Analysis Plan, mock shells, programming specifications and annotate CRFs.
- Participate in sponsor meetings, kickoff meetings and bid defense meetings as statistical programming representative.
- Contribute to mentoring of programming personnel.
