Synechron is looking for x3 experienced Senior Solution Architects to lead a major technology disentanglement project during a significant business divestment. The role encompasses both the physical separation of data centres (including cage, rack, network, and shared-service separation) and the design of the target environment and migration strategy to transition workloads to new platforms.
Role:
- Lead architecture activities for application and corporate decoupling across a large estate of approximately 80 applications, including platforms like GBST, Workday, and ServiceNow.
- Design data walls, application segregation, and separation patterns, supporting both the divested business and the retained entity.
- Develop strategies for physical data centre separation and migration plans for workloads.
- Design tenant-level controls, workload segregation, network segmentation, and identity separation within enterprise environments.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams, vendors, and stakeholders to translate architectural concepts into deliverable outcomes.
- Produce high-level designs, transition plans, and decoupling patterns.
- Support governance, secure approvals, and communicate complex solutions to senior stakeholders.
Experience:
- Expertise in application architecture, data segregation, SaaS platforms, and multi-cloud environments.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 tenant architecture, Azure AD, network segmentation, and data centre separation.
- Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, and communication skills.
Preferred:
- Experience within financial services, wealth management, pensions, or insurance sectors.
- Familiarity with platforms such as GBST, Workday, and ServiceNow.
- Architecture certifications (e.g., TOGAF, Azure, AWS).
- Knowledge of regulatory standards (e.g., GDPR, FCA).
Long term contract, multi-year inside IR35 - x3 days in Edinburgh office - Strong market rates.
