Synechron is looking for a customer-focused Help-Desk & End User Computing Associate with strong expertise in Microsoft platforms to work with a global insurance firm. The role delivers advanced technical support for Microsoft 365 services, including Teams and SharePoint, ensuring end-user productivity and secure, seamless collaboration across the London office. This role will work closely with other IT teams to maintain system performance, support migrations, and champion end-user adoption of Microsoft solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert technical support and troubleshooting for Microsoft 365 applications, especially Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, OneDrive, and related collaboration tools.
- Assist users with Teams collaboration, channel and meeting management, file sharing, and integration of apps and bots.
- Manage and troubleshoot SharePoint sites, permissions, document libraries, workflows, and sharing settings to ensure secure and efficient usage.
- Allocate and de-allocate virtual desktops and endpoints, particularly in Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) or similar Microsoft environments.
- Handle support requests related to Windows OS and device management, including user configuration, updates, and security settings using Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune).
- Administer Active Directory and Azure AD accounts, security groups, and access management in alignment with company policies.
- Support user onboarding/offboarding, including set-up of Microsoft 365 accounts, Teams/SharePoint access, and asset provisioning.
- Document solutions, create end-user guides for Microsoft 365 features, and contribute to self-service knowledge bases.
- Ensure compliance with internal IT security standards and participate in regular audits and policy enforcement.
- Collaborate on Microsoft 365 adoption initiatives, user training sessions, and rollout of new productivity solutions.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum 4 years' experience in IT support roles with deep knowledge of Microsoft 365 (including Teams and SharePoint) and Windows environments.
- Proficiency in supporting end users with Teams (meetings, collaboration, telephony) and SharePoint (site management, permissions, file sharing).
- Strong troubleshooting skills for Microsoft 365, Azure Active Directory, Exchange Online, Intune, and virtual desktop environments.
- Experience with helpdesk ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow), remote assistance tools, and ITIL practices.
- Excellent communication skills and customer-centric service approach.
- Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., MS-900, MS-700, MS-100, or equivalent) are preferred.
This is a long term contract (end Dec 26) - x3 days in London office (City) - Start Feb 26.
