We are seeking a hands-on Software Engineer to design, develop and enhance modern business applications in an AI-assisted delivery environment. The successful candidate will work closely with product owners, designers, architects and engineers to translate business requirements into secure, scalable and maintainable solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain production-grade Single Page Applications (SPAs).
- Build APIs, services and business logic using C#/.NET.
- Design and deliver code-first solutions using Power Apps Code Apps.
- Integrate applications with enterprise APIs, services and data sources.
- Apply responsive design, accessibility, performance and maintainable coding practices.
- Implement validation, error handling, logging, secure coding and automated testing.
- Participate in code reviews, debugging, deployment, release and operational support.
- Use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery while reviewing and validating generated outputs.
- Contribute to reusable engineering patterns, technical standards and continuous improvement.
Required skills and experience
- Professional experience developing Single Page Applications using modern component-based frameworks.
- Strong hands-on experience with C# and .NET, including API and service development.
- Practical experience with asynchronous programming, application layering, dependency management and integrations.
- Hands-on experience delivering Power Apps Code Apps.
- Familiarity with the wider Microsoft Power Platform.
- Knowledge of automated testing, code review, debugging and quality engineering practices.
- Understanding of secure development, access control, data protection and secrets management.
- Experience with source control, branching, CI/CD, environment promotion and release processes.
- Experience working across the full software development lifecycle in an Agile or iterative environment.
- Ability to use AI-assisted engineering tools responsibly while retaining accountability for code quality, security and maintainability.
- Strong communication, collaboration, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Desirable experience
- Experience working in regulated or enterprise environments.
- Knowledge of secure API architectures and enterprise integration patterns.
- Experience creating reusable components, engineering standards or development guidance.
- Experience supporting colleagues through peer reviews or technical collaboration.
Please note: This is an engineering-led role and requires practical SPA and C#/.NET development experience. Candidates with configuration-only or low-code-only experience will not meet the requirements.
