About the Role:

As an AWS Cloud Architect at Synechron, you will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate business needs into robust cloud architectures. You will lead technical reviews, provide strategic guidance, and ensure our solutions adhere to industry best practices, security standards, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deploy scalable, secure, and resilient cloud solutions using AWS (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda)
• Engage with clients to gather requirements and recommend cloud adoption strategies
• Lead architectural reviews and provide technical direction to engineering teams
• Create comprehensive documentation including architecture diagrams and operational procedures
• Optimize performance and reduce costs of existing cloud infrastructures
• Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and security compliance
• Promote automation and continuous improvement across cloud solutions
• Work closely with Engineering, DevOps, and Operations teams for seamless integration

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong understanding of AWS services and modern architecture practices
• Proven experience designing foundational Landing Zone services and integrations
• Skills in containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes), scripting (Terraform, Python), and CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with Networking, IAM, and ITSM practices
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse stakeholders
• Analytical mindset with strong problem‑solving abilities
• A proactive, adaptable approach suited to a fast‑paced environment
• Experience with other Cloud Providers (Azure, GCP, OCI) is a plus
• Experience in financial services or regulated industries is highly desirable

Your Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
• 5+ years in cloud architecture and solution design, focusing on AWS
• Relevant certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect Professional and AWS DevOps Engineer Professional are highly valued
