Role Description

The Field Sales Agent role is a full-time, on-site position based in Sunderland. The Field Sales Agent will identify and approach prospective business customers, present SyncPayments’ solutions, and demonstrate how the platform simplifies payment processing. This role involves conducting in-person meetings and site visits, managing a sales pipeline, preparing proposals, and following up to close deals. The Field Sales Agent will build and maintain long-term client relationships, provide ongoing support, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure a smooth onboarding experience. The role also includes tracking sales performance, reporting activity, and staying up to date on product features and market developments.

Qualifications

  • Experience in field sales, business development, or account management, ideally within financial services, fintech, or B2B solutions.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in clear, customer‑focused language.
  • Proven ability to build relationships, manage a sales territory, and work toward clear targets and KPIs.
  • Comfort with on‑site client visits, working independently, and organizing schedules to maximize time in the field.
  • Basic understanding of payment processing, merchant services, or related technology platforms is an advantage.
  • Good problem‑solving skills, resilience, and a customer‑centric mindset when handling objections and questions.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools, email, and standard office software to manage leads and report activity.
  • Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation for regular travel within the Sunderland area and surrounding regions, as required.
  • Previous experience in a similar role and relevant vocational or academic qualifications are beneficial, but candidates with strong transferable skills are encouraged to apply.
