THE ROLE
You will be responsible for accurate maintenance of product information on our ecommerce website and the maintenance of all items and product pricing data including all price/profit analysis. Your duties will include the set up and maintenance of all products, promotional items, implementation of price increases as required and price lists, management and monitoring of all discounts and promotional pricing and continuous monitoring of competitors. You will also communicate effectively with procurement, marketing & development teams.
Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate a team of 4.
- Manage ecommerce website product information and data flow from various vendors and sources.
- Validation of prices and product information to ensure quality data, be responsible for maintaining corporately shared data in other core systems used by the business.
- Perform root cause analysis of exceptions, take opportunities to develop data expertise, learn downstream impacts of changing data.
- Pursue automation for residual manual tasks.
- Review, update and help develop departmental procedures in order that the team can meet the website needs in a controlled and timely manner.
- Responsible for conducting competitor analysis and reporting on competitor websites; review their promotional messaging and site developments, monitor the discount levels being offered during key promotional periods.
- Use competitor monitoring tools to report on changes in market/competitor demographics, traffic sources and market share information.
- Able to use web analytics tools to produce site reporting.
- Build and maintain a detailed knowledge of short/long term factors affecting the industry and new market, to assist in the forecasting and development of sites.
- Undertake ad-hoc tasks and projects as required by the senior management team.
- Collect and collate appropriate data for use in databases and conduct related research.
