We are currently recruiting an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to work in a well-established Veterinary practice in Wath-Upon-Dearne, Rotherham. The practice is in the process of a full refurbishment but is already very well equipped, including two operating theatres, dental suite, nurse consultation room, incubators, ultrasound, and x-ray facilities. This is a fantastic opportunity for career progression and sharing knowledge and experience with other veterinary professionals.
To be considered, candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of continuous experience working in a small animal practice as a Veterinary Surgeon.
Location details: The veterinary practice is located in Wath upon Dearne, a small town on the south side of the Dearne Valley in the historic county of the West Riding of Yorkshire and the Metropolitan Borough of Rotherham, South Yorkshire, England. It lies 5 miles north of Rotherham, almost midway between Barnsley and Doncaster. Excellent transport links to M1 and A1(M) are available, and the beautiful Peak District can be explored nearby.
Salary and benefits: The role offers a 4-day workweek with 1 in 3 Saturdays. The salary is highly competitive, up to £55,000, plus a £5,200 accommodation allowance. A car or allowance is provided, along with generous CPD funding, including 3 days paid CPD leave. VDS, RCVS, and BVA fees are paid. Additional benefits include retail discounts, days out, holiday discounts, childcare vouchers, cycle-to-work scheme, auto-enrollment UK pension scheme, 5 weeks of annual leave, and excellent career progression opportunities.
Relocation support includes an allowance of up to £5,000 for overseas candidates and up to £2,000 for UK candidates relocating more than 50 miles from their previous address. We support Certificates of Sponsorship for a Tier 2 (General) Visa for eligible candidates who meet the criteria and can register as a veterinary surgeon with the RCVS upon arrival in the UK.
