As part of our large and growing team, you’ll have the opportunity for career development, with expansion plans and new facilities, including CT coming in March 2024. The practice specializes in orthopedics, soft tissue surgery, and imaging.
Position: Night Veterinary Surgeon
Working hours: 7 nights on, 21 nights off
Shift pattern: Monday to Sunday, 7pm – 9am
Location: Woodstock, on the eastern edge of the picturesque Cotswolds
CPD Allowance: £1,500 plus 3 days’ CPD leave
RCVS, BVA, and VDS fees paid

Role Accountabilities:
- Provide first-class clinical care through consultations, procedures, and monitoring
- Complete clinical handovers and arrange patient transfers for out-of-hours or enhanced care
- Deliver exceptional client care, providing clear updates and resolving issues
- Adhere to the highest standards of regulatory, practice, and operational compliance
- Prepare accurate estimates for clients, ensuring timely payments and minimizing debt
- Maximize capacity through effective utilization of clinical skills
- Conduct engaging clinical meetings with veterinary and nursing teams
- Support and carry out colleague clinical mentoring and development
- Proactively share clinical best practices within the clinic and the wider veterinary community
Your Skills and Experience:
- RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon or eligibility for registration
- Minimum one year of small animal practice experience
- Client-oriented approach with excellent communication skills
- Experience working to the highest medical and surgical standards
- Ability to work confidently and independently in a sole charge capacity
- Proficient in clinical examination and surgery
- Strong teamwork and relationship-building skills
- Proven ability to positively influence and communicate effectively
Remuneration: Competitive Salary: £40,000 per year
