We’re working with a fast-growing specialist IT Distribution business that partners with leading brands across the Technology sector. Following continued growth, including recent acquisitions and expansion into new markets, the business is now looking to appoint a Part-Time HR Manager to take ownership of all HR activity and work closely with the senior leadership team.
This is a standalone, hands-on HR role operating at the heart of the business. You’ll work closely with the CEO, CFO, and wider leadership team to support growth, shape culture, and ensure the organisation has the right people processes in place to scale effectively. It’s an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR generalist who enjoys autonomy, variety, and being closely embedded within a commercial SME environment.
- HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle
- Manage the full employee lifecycle: recruitment, onboarding, performance, and development.
- Maintain HR policies, procedures, and employee records in line with UK employment law.
- Support managers with employee relations issues including performance, absence, disciplinary and grievance matters.
- Recruitment & Talent
- Lead recruitment across sales, operations, technical, and support functions.
- Partner with hiring managers on job descriptions, interviews, and selection.
- Improve onboarding processes to support strong early engagement.
- Identify training and development needs across the business.
- Act as a trusted HR advisor to managers and employees.
- Support initiatives that build a positive, high-performance culture.
- Support succession planning and organisational development discussions.
- Compliance & Governance
- Ensure HR policies and practices remain compliant with UK employment law.
- Keep policies, contracts, and handbooks up to date.
- Support HR-related risk management and business compliance activity.
- Assist with audits, HR reporting, and improvement initiatives.
- Strategic Support
- Provide commercially focused HR advice aligned to business growth.
- Support change and transformation activity as the business evolves.
Proven HR generalist experience within an SME environment. Experience in a standalone HR role or senior HRBP/HR Manager position. Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice. Confident working in a fast-paced, commercial environment.
