Job Description Procurement Manager Contract – 6 months Inside IR35 About the Role Location This is a hybrid role based in the Farringdon, London, offering a balance of home and office working. Job Purpose As a Procurement Manager in the Category Team, you will manage the procurement of a specific category of goods or services, providing strong strategic and operational support to both internal stakeholders and suppliers. This role includes overseeing sourcing, project management, and risk mitigation while ensuring compliance with company policy, and optimizing value across procurement activities. Key Responsibilities Category Management: Act as the primary procurement contact for the assigned category, aligning procurement activities with company goals and client needs. Project Leadership: Lead projects from sourcing through award, ensuring outcomes meet timelines and add business value. Compliance & Improvement: Ensure adherence to procurement processes and drive continuous improvement within the team. Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement effective procurement strategies that maximize both financial and non-financial value. Data Management: Maintain accurate digital records for contracts and projects and provide data insights for business risk mitigation. Negotiation & Escalation: Provide expert negotiation support and serve as an escalation point for category-related commercial and contractual issues. Key Skills & Experience Professional Procurement Expertise: Track record in procurement and supply chain delivery, including savings and value optimization. Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines. Strategic Sourcing & Negotiation: Experience in strategic sourcing methodology and a strong negotiator with formal training. Problem Solving: Skilled in resolving contractual and commercial issues. Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills for cross-functional teamwork and supplier engagement. Desired Experience Category Knowledge: Experience in HR, Professional Services, Consultancy, or Marketing categories is advantageous. Procurement Background: Minimum of 5 years in procurement roles with a focus on savings and value delivery. Qualifications (Preferred) Professional Certification: Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (MCIPS) qualification is beneficial.
