Synchro has partnered with a large and very well-known bank / financial services organisation and we are hiring for an experienced and talented Senior Backend Engineer. Working across a portfolio of banking products, and a pipeline of complex and critical organisation wide projects, this role requires an experienced engineer who has delivered code into production. You will be a critical thinker and expert problem solver, who owns every piece of what they do, through design, development, testing and production. You will have a broad skillset, with experience of Java, Kotlin, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes as well as GCP or AWS. This organisation is based in London, and this role will be based predominantly onsite, however a flexible approach to hybrid / remote working is on offer.
Required Expertise
- Strong background in backend Engineering, with experience of Java and / or Kotlin
- Kafka exposure is highly desirable.
- Solid Cloud skills – Ideally GCP or AWS.
- A real team player, with strong collaboration skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management is also a must.
