Overview
Tax Accountant
Our fast-paced scaling Software as a Service client is searching for a Tax Accountant to join our growing finance team. In this role, you will support the Tax Manager with day-to-day tax and financial activities across multiple corporate entities worldwide.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, global environment and is eager to contribute to a wide range of tax compliance, reporting, and planning tasks.
You\’ll play a vital part in ensuring the organisation meets its tax obligations while developing your expertise in both UK and international tax.
Responsibilities
- Prepare UK and overseas tax returns (VAT, OSS VAT, GST/HST, SST, sales tax).
- Manage Balance Sheet reconciliations for direct/indirect tax liabilities.
- Prepare monthly tax journals and cashflow reports.
- Support with tax filings, payments, and reconciliations.
- Maintain indirect tax files and oversee submissions using tax software tools.
- Assist with PSA, STBV, R&D claims, and Transfer Pricing documentation.
- Ensure timely preparation and submission of returns, certifications, and reports.
- Liaise with HMRC and overseas tax authorities during audits.
- Provide support for both internal and external audit processes.
- Contribute to building team capability and mentoring future team members.
Qualifications
Essential:
- Proven experience as a Tax Accountant (or similar tax-related role).
- Strong knowledge of direct/indirect taxes.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g. NetSuite or similar).
- Understanding of tax compliance software.
Desirable:
- Experience in a fast-growth, tech-driven environment.
- Finance/Tax qualification or degree in accounting.
