Synapri are looking for a Principal Python/Django Engineer, to play a key role in designing, developing, and improving modern digital platforms. You will work closely with engineers, architects, product teams, and stakeholders to deliver robust solutions within a secure government environment.

You will be expected to provide technical leadership, champion engineering best practices, and help shape the direction of the platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and development of complex applications using Python and Django
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams
  • Design secure, scalable, and maintainable backend solutions
  • Review code and promote engineering best practices
  • Collaborate with architects, developers, product owners, and delivery teams
  • Support continuous improvement across development processes and tooling

  • Extensive commercial experience with Python and Django
  • Proven experience operating at Principal Engineer / Lead Engineer level

  • Excellent knowledge of backend engineering principles
  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence technical decisions
Clearance Requirements
  • Active SC Clearance (Highly desirable)
  • Candidates must be eligible for UK Security Clearance and be eligible to work within a government environment.
