Role Purpose
The Portfolio / Product Delivery Manager is responsible for supporting the development, delivery and ongoing management of a Strategic Investment Portfolio, ensuring that products and initiatives deliver measurable value, align to organisational strategy, and meet required standards of performance, assurance, governance, compliance and risk management. The role operates across portfolio, programme and product delivery, working within Agile delivery frameworks and in line with GDS (Government Digital Service) standards, shaping and enabling a sustainable Target Operating Model (TOM) and driving effective business and digital change.
Essential Skills
- Proven experience in portfolio, programme or product delivery management within complex organisations.
- Demonstrable experience of governance, risk and assurance in delivery environments.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.
- Team management (managing a small team).
Desirable Skills
- Experience within UK Government / public sector or arm’s‑length bodies.
- Knowledge of change management approaches and organisational transformation.
- Experience working with digital, data and technology-enabled change.
- Working knowledge of Agile delivery and scaling Agile across multiple teams or products.
- Relevant certifications (e.g. AgilePM, MSP, SAFe, PRINCE2, P3M3, Scrum).
