We're looking for a Data Engineer to join a growing technology team for a well-established customer in the media & entertainment industry.
As a Data Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in designing and building a modern cloud-based data platform.
You'll collaborate with architects, product managers and business stakeholders to deliver scalable data solutions that drive smarter business decisions while helping shape the future direction of the organisation's data capabilities.
Main responsibilities
- Designing and building scalable batch and real-time data pipelines using
- Snowflake
- Developing robust, test-driven data models using dbt
- Optimising Snowflake performance, scalability and cloud costs
- Implementing best practice data governance, security and RBAC
- Building CI/CD deployment pipelines and maintaining source control
- Exploring emerging Snowflake capabilities including
- Snowpark , Streaming and AI features
What our client is looking for
- 4-5 years' experience as a Data Engineer
- At least 2 years' hands-on experience with
- Snowflake
- Strong SQL expertise within enterprise environments
- Experience with dbt and modern data modelling practices
- Experience across the Azure data stack (ADF, SQL Server, Power BI and related technologies) would be a plus but open to other cloud technologies.
Desirable experience
- Python
- Databricks
- Data Lake/Lakehouse technologies
- Tableau, Sigma or other visualisation platforms
- Exposure to machine learning or AI-enabled data solutions
