Essential

  • Proven experience delivering complex IT infrastructure, datacentre, platform, network or software projects within large-scale enterprise environments.
  • Strong understanding of project and product delivery methodologies, with practical experience operating within hybrid Agile and Waterfall delivery frameworks.
  • Experience using delivery and project management tooling such as Jira, Confluence and reporting products to manage plans, dependencies, risks, governance and delivery reporting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels, including project teams, stakeholders, customers and senior leadership teams.
  • Strong leadership and team management capability, with experience leading multidisciplinary teams across different levels of experience and technical disciplines.
  • Experience managing technical delivery teams across infrastructure, hosting, networking, security or software engineering disciplines within a matrix management environment.
  • Demonstrable experience managing stakeholders and third-party suppliers in complex delivery environments.
  • Strong risk and issue management skills, with the ability to identify potential delivery risks early and develop practical mitigation and contingency plans.
  • Proven ability to make informed and timely decisions whilst understanding when escalation is required.
  • Experience managing competing priorities, dependencies and resource constraints within fast-paced delivery environments.
  • Experience managing project finances, forecasts and delivery against agreed budgets.
  • Ability to build and maintain delivery artefacts including project plans, roadmaps, RAID logs, resource forecasts, dashboards and management reports.
  • The resilience to manage multiple concurrent workstreams whilst maintaining focus on delivery outcomes, quality and stakeholder expectations.

Desirable

  • Experience working within UK Government, national security or highly regulated environments.
  • Knowledge of digital, infrastructure or IT service delivery within large and complex organisations.
  • Relevant project, programme or agile delivery qualification such as PRINCE2 Practitioner, Agile PM, Scrum Master, MSP, APM PMQ or equivalent.
  • Experience delivering infrastructure transformation, datacentre migration, cloud adoption, workplace technology or secure platform projects.
  • Understanding of Government Digital Service (GDS) and Agile delivery principles.

Our client operates hybrid working 2-3 days in East Kilbride, with occasional client site visits will be required into Glasgow.
