Essential Skills
- Security & Identity Service Ownership: Proven experience owning and managing enterprise security, identity and access management (IAM) services within complex organisations.
- IAM Expertise: Strong understanding of identity lifecycle management, authentication, authorisation, privileged access management (PAM), SSO and multi-factor authentication (MFA).
- Cyber Security: Strong knowledge of security principles, controls, vulnerabilities and risk management within large-scale digital environments.
- Service Management & Governance: Experience defining service strategy, roadmaps, SLAs, KPIs, controls and continual service improvement plans.
- Operational Service Delivery: Ability to ensure security and identity services remain resilient, available, compliant and effectively supported.
- Stakeholder & Supplier Management: Experience working across Cyber Security, Architecture, Infrastructure, Digital and business teams, alongside third-party technology suppliers.
- Risk, Assurance & Compliance: Experience managing security risks, audit requirements, governance and assurance within regulated environments.
Desirable Skills
- Previous Central Government or wider UK Public Sector security and identity experience.
- Knowledge of NCSC guidance, Government Security Framework and government digital/security standards.
- Experience with technologies such as Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Active Directory, PAM and modern identity platforms.
- Experience supporting Zero Trust, cloud transformation, identity modernisation or legacy migration programmes.
- Knowledge of Cyber Essentials, ISO 27001 and/or NIST security frameworks.
- Experience operating within multi-supplier and cross-government environments.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, ITIL, Microsoft Security/Identity or equivalent.
- Security Clearance: Willing and eligible to obtain SC clearance; active SC clearance advantageous.
Our client operates hybrid working 2-3 days in London, with occasional client site visits will be required into Glasgow.
