Essential Skills

  • Security Architecture Leadership: Leadership of security architecture for large scale cloud and workspace programmes in government or national security environments. Experience securing systems at SECRET or above, including sovereign cloud and secure workspace deployments.
  • Cloud, Workspace, Infrastructure, and AI Expertise: Deep understanding of SECRET cloud hosting, workspace and endpoint security (DWS), identity federation, crypto, segmentation, isolation technologies, and high assurance gateways. Strong knowledge of secure DevOps, CI/CD controls and IaC hardening. Experience applying security controls to AI/ML components, including model hardening, safeguarding training data, preventing prompt or model injection attacks, and securing AI enabled features within SECRET environments.
  • Interoperability & Cross Domain: Experience securing solutions that span multi-domain environments and incorporate secure client endpoint and cloud integrations. Prior work integrating with Defence, Law Enforcement or UKIC systems.
  • Technical Governance & Secure by Design: Proven experience leading security governance for cloud, device, and workspace platforms. Strong systems thinking mindset applied across both hosting and end user environments.
  • Strategic Influence & Communication: Ability to explain complex security architecture decisions to senior stakeholders and engineering teams. Experience shaping business cases, options, and assurance strategies across multiple technology domains.
