I’m currently recruiting for a Capital Markets & Wholesale Policy Manager role with a leading financial services business in London. This is an opportunity to work at the heart of UK capital markets policy, supporting engagement across regulators, government and major financial institutions on key issues shaping the UK’s wholesale and capital markets landscape.
In this role, you will:
- Support the development of policy positions across capital markets, corporate finance and wholesale banking topics.
- Engage with senior stakeholders across banks, regulators (including the FCA, HM Treasury and the CMA) and industry bodies.
- Contribute to consultation responses, policy briefings and industry-facing thought leadership.
- Help coordinate member working groups and policy discussions across primary and secondary markets.
Key experience we’re looking for:
- Experience in policy, regulatory affairs, public affairs or financial services advisory roles.
- Strong understanding of capital markets, corporate finance, debt or wholesale banking (preferred but not essential).
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging senior industry or regulatory stakeholders.
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to simplify complex regulatory or policy issues.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced policy environment.
Additional information:
- Salary: £55,000 – £65,000
- Benefits: Excellent package including 12% pension and discretional bonus
- Working pattern: Hybrid (2 days per week in Central London)
