Our government client is seeking an Infrastructure Project Manager to support the delivery of a cloud-first collaboration platform replacing legacy services. This role focuses on coordinating delivery across early system development and foundational infrastructure workstreams within a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment.

The Project Manager will provide delivery coordination, planning and schedule management across two core areas: initial system development, including prototype delivery, and foundational infrastructure, including cloud platforms, secure gateways and supporting hardware. The role works closely with architecture, engineering and security teams to ensure delivery remains aligned, structured and on track.

Key responsibilities

  • Delivery Planning and Coordination: Maintain integrated delivery plans across both workstreams. Translate architectural and technical direction into clear tasks, timelines and deliverables. Coordinate activities across engineering, architecture, security and suppliers.
  • Prototype Delivery Support: Coordinate early-stage development activities, including planning, task tracking, risk management and dependency mapping. Organise and manage user testing cycles and ensure outputs are captured and fed back into delivery.
  • Infrastructure Delivery Coordination: Work with infrastructure and security teams to track progress across cloud environments, gateways, hardware deployment and identity components. Ensure alignment with agreed architecture and security standards.
  • Supplier and Stakeholder Coordination: Support onboarding and coordination of suppliers delivering components across the programme. Track external dependencies including those across government departments and partners.
  • RAID and Reporting: Own and maintain RAID logs, ensuring risks and issues are actively managed and escalated where needed. Provide structured reporting to programme leadership and support governance forums.
  • Documentation and Programme Readiness: Support the preparation of documentation and evidence required for governance, assurance and delivery milestones. Assist in ensuring readiness as delivery transitions from prototyping into scaled build phases.

Essential Skills:

  • Experience supporting delivery of technical or infrastructure programmes within complex environments.
  • Strong planning, coordination and RAID management skills.
  • Ability to work alongside technical teams including architects, engineers and security specialists.
  • Experience working across multiple stakeholders or organisations.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to operate at pace in evolving programme environments.
