Location: Glasgow – Hybrid, 2–3 days onsite per week
Duration: 12 months
Security Clearance: Active SC clearance required / ability to hold SC

  • Significant experience operating at G7 level or equivalent within Central Government, consulting or another complex organisation.
  • Strong background in senior business management, Chief of Staff, transformation, operations or organisational change.
  • Experience working directly with senior executives and leadership teams in a trusted and influential capacity.
  • Strong understanding of operational workforce and recruitment/resource planning.
  • Demonstrable experience improving processes, systems, tooling and ways of working.
  • Strong performance management capability, including the use of metrics, MI, data and digital insight to drive improvement.
  • Experience supporting or leading change and communications across complex stakeholder groups.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level briefing and stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to bring structure and clarity to environments with multiple moving parts, changing priorities and competing demands.
  • Highly organised, delivery-focused and comfortable working autonomously.

Desirable Experience

  • Previous consulting or management consultancy experience, particularly within Government transformation or operational improvement.
  • Experience of digital transformation, automation, workflow or productivity tooling.
  • Experience establishing new performance frameworks, dashboards or management information.
  • Knowledge of Central Government governance, workforce and operational delivery environments.
