A leading Insurance services organisation in London is seeking an experienced Microsoft Security Engineer to support a wide range of initiatives across incident response, risk management, security operations, tooling implementation, and compliance with security frameworks. The ideal candidate will be a well-rounded security professional with strong experience in Azure cloud environments and Microsoft 365 security tooling. In addition, the successful candidate will play a key role in enhancing and maintaining the organisation's security posture.
Responsibilities include overseeing major security initiatives such as the implementation and optimisation of Microsoft security solutions (Defender, Purview, Sentinel), ensuring alignment with frameworks including ISO 27001, NIST, and COBIT, contributing to vulnerability scanning, and facilitating penetration testing activities to identify and remediate risks across the technology estate.
Required Technical Experience:
- Strong experience working in Azure Cloud environments
- Hands-on experience deploying, configuring, and implementing Microsoft Defender, Purview, and/or Sentinel
- Familiarity with the wider Microsoft infrastructure stack, including Active Directory, Entra ID, Intune, and related technologies
