An experienced Agile Delivery Manager is required to support a central government department in embedding a new operating model across delivery teams. This role will focus on driving agile ways of working, improving team effectiveness, and ensuring alignment between strategic objectives and delivery outcomes. Working in a hybrid capacity, you will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, senior stakeholders, and programme leadership to implement sustainable delivery practices, remove blockers, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead agile delivery across multiple teams within the new operating model
- Embed and scale agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid approaches)
- Facilitate ceremonies, planning sessions, and stakeholder engagements
- Identify and remove delivery impediments
- Support teams through organisational and cultural change
- Track delivery performance and ensure alignment with government standards
- Engage senior stakeholders to ensure transparency and effective governance
Key Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as an Agile Delivery Manager in government or public sector environments
- Strong understanding of agile methodologies and transformation programmes
- Experience embedding new operating models or ways of working
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to lead through ambiguity and drive outcomes in complex environments
