This role focuses on building Synalogik's insurance sales function and managing the sales effort that drives our metrics. You will be tasked with reporting on our sales activity and driving incremental improvement in it. By leading the insurance sales effort, you will be working directly with the Chief Operations Officer in promoting revenue growth through operational excellence in pre-sales, sales, marketing and customer success teams.

Main Responsibilities of the Position:

  • Devise and deliver on a UK insurance market sales strategy that positions Synalogik software for use in insurance prospect subsectors and use cases (policy validation, claims validation, intelligence and investigation in Motor, Home, Pet and Travel).
  • Build and optimise workflows, technology and reporting for insurance sales function in order to accelerate revenue growth.
  • Develop and implement sales processes that improve efficiency, productivity and overall revenue performance.
  • Update the Synalogik sales CRM (currently Salesforce), manage reporting on the insurance sales pipeline, including tracking and reporting on progress, identifying trends and optimising conversion rates.
  • Create and implement sales forecasting models to provide visibility into revenue performance and inform decision-making that will be scrutinised by CEO, CFO, COO and Synalogik’s Board.
  • Engage continuously with Synalogik product teams to ensure that feedback from prospects and clients, and dynamics in the insurance market are monitored and reflected in product innovation.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all revenue-related systems and processes.
  • Collaborate with peers across sales, marketing, customer success and finance teams to develop and execute revenue growth plans.
  • Build a compelling, comprehensive insurance sector sales strategy and execute against it.
  • Grow Insurance Sector Revenue year-on-year.
  • Drive incremental improvement in key metrics (lead generation, pipeline growth, deal progression, contract wins, revenue growth) across new business insurance sales.
  • Create and execute a vision in the insurance sector initially, that streamlines end-to-end revenue processes from lead awareness all the way to account opening, activation and expansion.
  • Use the Synalogik technology stack to give real-time insight on sales metrics and progress against targets.
  • Implement and enforce data quality controls to ensure that sales data is relevant, accurate, and reliable.
  • Be accountable for the continuous improvement in the Insurance sales metrics.
  • Develop fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation and growth by enthusing the sales team.
  • Deliver UK market insurance sector targets first with a view to entering additional territories.

Required Experience:

  • Demonstrable evidence of growing sales in a B2B SaaS environment within the insurance sector.
  • Previous experience working in a scale-up environment, preferably with experience of people management.
  • Excellent understanding of sales and marketing systems and reporting on them (i.e. Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator).
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Strong inter-personal skills and ability to work well both independently and as part of a cross-departmental team.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage sensitive and confidential information.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience of designing and delivering team and departmental performance reporting.
