SymphonyAI Retail CPG is accelerating the adoption of CINDE, our AI‑powered retail decisioning and copilot products, across leading grocery retailers.
What you will do:
- Own the European growth strategy for CINDE across top‑tier grocery retailers, from market segmentation and ICP definition to account prioritisation and multi‑year pursuit plans.
- Hold and deliver a team quota for net‑new and expansion ACV/TCV; establish rigorous pipeline coverage, forecasting accuracy, and inspection cadence.
- Lead, coach, and scale a senior enterprise team (AEs, solution consultants, value engineers, SDRs) across multiple countries; recruit top talent, set performance standards, and create a winning culture.
- Drive complex, multi‑threaded “whale” pursuits at C‑, SVP‑, and board levels; develop executive trust with CEOs, CIOs, Chief Merchandising/Commercial, Supply Chain, Digital, and Finance leaders.
- Champion outcome‑based value selling; build business cases and financial models that quantify impact (e.g., on‑shelf availability, waste reduction, margin and promo uplift, demand forecast accuracy, labour productivity).
- Structure and negotiate enterprise agreements, pilots‑to‑scale programs, and multi‑product deals; navigate security, privacy, and procurement processes aligned to European norms (including GDPR).
- Partner closely with Product and the GM/CRO to inform CINDE roadmap, packaging, and pricing for grocery; incubate new capabilities and sales plays, and guide early adopter programs.
- Orchestrate cross‑functional execution with marketing, customer success, delivery, data science, and support to ensure successful implementations and rapid pilot‑to‑production conversion.
- Build and leverage strategic alliances and co‑sell motions with hyperscalers and global/regional SIs/consultancies; secure marketplace listings, MDF/funding, and joint demand generation.
- Act as a visible market evangelist: contribute thought leadership, speak at industry forums, and develop executive POVs and case studies that elevate our brand in Western Europe.
- Embed best‑practice methodologies (e.g., MEDDICC/Challenger) for account planning, qualification, and deal governance; drive disciplined deal reviews and executive call planning.
- Ensure customer value realization and executive sponsorship post‑sale; influence expansion and renewal strategies to increase NRR.
What you will bring:
- 12+ years of enterprise software/SaaS growth or sales leadership with a focus on AI, analytics, or data‑driven solutions; at least 5 years selling into grocery retail in Europe.
- Demonstrated success leading teams to close seven‑ and eight‑figure, multi‑year transformation deals with top‑tier retailers; consistent overachievement against team quotas.
- Deep, current C‑level network within European grocery retailers and the ability to initiate and sustain board‑level dialogue.
- Mastery of value‑based, outcome‑led selling and enterprise deal orchestration; expert in executive negotiation and complex contracting.
- Strong domain knowledge across grocery retail functions such as merchandising and category management, pricing and promotions, supply chain and availability, store operations, and e‑commerce.
- Fluency in articulating AI/ML and enterprise data platform concepts in business terms; experience selling decisioning, copilot, or advanced analytics products is a strong plus.
- Proven track record building and scaling high‑performing, geographically distributed teams.
- Experience activating cloud and SI/consulting partner ecosystems and navigating cloud marketplaces and co‑sell programs.
- High financial and analytical acumen (TCO, ROI, P&L impact); disciplined forecaster with pipeline hygiene and methodology rigor.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills; executive presence with credible thought leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
- English fluency required; additional European languages (e.g., German, Dutch, Italian, Spanish) are a plus.
- Ability to travel 50‑70% across Europe.
