Our end-to-end encrypted technologies enable over 1,400 institutions to accelerate AI impact, prioritize data security, navigate complex regulatory compliance and optimize business interactions.
Role Description
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior SDET, Compliance to play a critical role in ensuring the quality, security, and regulatory reliability of Symphony’s compliance-driven solutions across both backend and frontend systems. At Symphony, compliance is foundational. It means operating under strict regulatory, security, and data-governance requirements for financial institutions and other regulated industries. This includes secure call records, robust encryption, strict access controls, comprehensive audit logging, data-privacy protections (e.g. GDPR, CCPA), and adherence to industry certifications and audit standards. This is a hands‑on technical leadership role. You will design and build automated compliance validation frameworks, define and evolve compliance testing strategies, and integrate quality deeply into our development lifecycle. You’ll work closely with engineering, product, and security teams to ensure compliance is not an afterthought, but a built-in capability of our platform. If you are passionate about quality engineering, automation, and building trust in mission‑critical systems, we’d love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Own and drive compliance quality initiatives across backend and frontend systems.
- Design, build, and maintain automated test frameworks focused on compliance validation.
- Define, evolve, and execute the next generation Compliance Test Strategy.
- Perform white‑box testing to validate regulatory, security, and data‑governance requirements.
- Embed shift‑left testing practices, working closely with developers early in the SDLC.
- Validate compliance behavior across Cloud (AWS/GCP), Kubernetes, and Windows 10/11 environments.
- Identify, debug, and resolve compliance‑related quality and risk issues.
- Mentor other SDETs and act as a quality leader and compliance advocate within engineering teams.
- Continuously improve compliance testing processes, tooling, and quality metrics.
Required Qualifications
Technical Skills
- Strong programming skills in C# and Python.
- Proven experience designing and maintaining test automation frameworks.
- Hands‑on experience with compliance testing (e.g. data retention, auditability, regulatory validation).
- Strong background in white‑box testing of APIs, services, and system internals.
- Solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and containerized environments (Kubernetes).
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and modern testing tools.
- Familiarity with Windows 10/11 environments.
- Strong understanding of software development practices and modern testing methodologies.
Soft Skills
- Proven ability to lead and influence compliance‑focused quality initiatives.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across engineering, product, and security teams.
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and risk awareness.
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment.
- Proactive, self‑driven, and deeply invested in quality and regulatory excellence.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience in QA or SDET roles, with a strong focus on compliance and quality.
- 2+ years in a senior or lead role, driving quality or compliance initiatives at scale.
