While we are the market leader in the wood and joinery coatings sector, we are currently undergoing an ambitious strategic expansion of our Metal Division. Utilising our nationwide logistics and world-class manufacturer partnerships, we are bringing our reputation for technical excellence to the metal fabrication and engineering markets. This new focus allows us to provide specialist coating systems for steel fabrication, heavy machinery (OEMs), and architectural metalwork. With a focus on anti-corrosive technology and fire-rated systems, we are becoming the go-to partner for industrial finishers across the UK.
The Role: Following the rapid growth of our industrial sector, we are seeking a driven, field-based Sales Professional to spearhead our expansion across Southern England. While you will be appointed to and supported by our Colchester branch, this is a front-line role with a broad operational reach. Focusing on the South, you will play a key role in supporting and growing our network across Thetford, Colchester, Coulsdon, Park Royal, Aylesbury, and Martock. This is a fantastic opportunity for a specialist to drive the growth of our Metal Division, delivering technical solutions and high-performance specifications to the engineering and fabrication sectors.
Experience & Background: Ideally, you will have a minimum of two years’ experience selling industrial paint systems to a variety of customers across multiple industries, but consideration will be given to technical professionals with knowledge and experience in fields related to industrial coatings, such as coatings inspectors wishing to embark on a new career path.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promoting and supporting metal coating products in our current range to gain new accounts within your territory.
- Maintaining and growing business at existing accounts.
- Developing territory sales plans using technical and commercial knowledge which will achieve your sales targets.
- Working closely with the Metal Coatings Project Lead to report activities, sales intel and develop sales campaigns for your region.
Candidate Profile:
- Relevant industry knowledge of coating manufacturers and our competitors.
- Technical understanding of basic coating systems and how to match to customers’ needs.
- Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to succeed in a competitive and technical market.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building attributes.
- Well organised and able to work with relative autonomy.
- Capable of building multi-level relationships with customers.
We will provide ongoing product training and the opportunity to complete further industry related technical qualifications to develop your career.
