About the Opportunity
We are supporting a dynamic and growing construction client looking for an experienced and driven Quantity Surveyor / Senior to join the team. This role is ideal for a commercially sharp professional who thrives on managing diverse, high-value projects and delivering exceptional project control from inception to completion.
You will work closely with multi-disciplinary teams, managing client relationships and driving commercial success across a variety of exciting sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Management: Lead cost planning, budgeting, forecasting, and commercial reporting across multiple projects.
- Contract Administration: Manage contracts, handling variations, valuations, and final accounts.
- Procurement: Oversee subcontract procurement, tendering processes, and commercial negotiations.
- Client Relations: Act as a key point of contact for clients, providing strategic commercial advice and ensuring project delivery aligns with their objectives.
- Risk Management: Identify, analyse, and mitigate commercial risks to protect project margins.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience: Proven track record working as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior QS within a construction environment.
- Qualifications: Industry specific and role related qualifications, Degree qualification ideal but not essential.
- Skills: Strong negotiation skills, deep understanding of standard construction contracts, and excellent communication abilities.
- Mindset: A proactive, solutions-oriented professional who takes ownership of their workload and enjoys mentoring junior staff.
