Lead the development and delivery of environmental sustainability strategy. Implement environmental policies, plans and KPIs across the organisation.
Regulation & Compliance
- Manage environmental data collection, analysis and reporting.
- Maintain the ISO 14001-aligned environmental management system.
- Ensure compliance with requirements such as ESOS, SECR and CFD.
- Lead annual CPD submissions and contribute to sustainability assessments including EcoVadis.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as a trusted adviser to internal teams on environmental and sustainability matters.
- Support bids, pitches and client requests for environmental information.
- Partner with Procurement to strengthen sustainability within the supply chain.
- Manage relationships with external consultants and carbon accountants.
- Build a network across peer firms and environmental bodies.
Communication
- Deliver internal engagement and communication plans.
- Prepare clear, insightful reporting to track progress against environmental targets.
- Develop and deliver environmental training.
- Maintain sustainability content for internal and external platforms.
Candidate Profile
- Strong background in environmental management, ideally within professional services.
- Solid understanding of environmental legislation, management systems and ISO 14001.
- Confident managing and analysing environmental and carbon data.
- Membership of professional body preferred e.g. IEMA, CIEEM, CIWEM.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Highly organised, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Flexible and able to adapt to the demands of a fast-paced environment.
