Requirements

  • Experience across physical, personnel, and IT security in a regulated environment
  • Familiarity with MOD or NCSC Security Guidance and GOV007S
  • Hands‐on experience managing or supporting security vetting processes
  • Solid understanding of IT and network security principles
  • Knowledge of UK GDPR and data protection best practice
  • Experience as a Data Protection Officer
  • Strong organisational, communication, and documentation skills
  • Must be eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance
  • Experience as an IT Security Officer (ITSO)
  • Familiarity with Cyber Security Model V4 in accordance with ISN 25/07
  • Knowledge of ISO 27001 or similar frameworks
  • Security‐related qualifications or certifications
  • Background in a regulated, technical, engineering, or defence‐adjacent environment

Responsibilities

  • Manage physical security controls, access procedures, visitor management, and incident reporting across offices and facilities
  • Coordinate security vetting processes, renewals, and record‐keeping
  • Act as ITSO, ensuring security controls are implemented effectively across IT systems in collaboration with the Network Security Engineer and wider CIS team
  • Serve as designated Data Protection Officer, ensuring compliance with UK GDPR and managing data protection risk
  • Act as Cyber Security Assurance Coordinator
  • Support data incident management, investigation, and reporting
  • Maintain security policies, procedures, risk registers, and support audits and assurance activities
  • Ensure compliance with relevant STAMP standards, policies, and contractual obligations
  • Raise security awareness across the business through guidance, training, and technical workshops
