Job Title: Receptionist

Location: Symes Bains Broomer, Scunthorpe

Salary: Minimum wage (in line with age-related rates).

Job Type: Full-time

Hours: Monday to Friday 8.45am – 5.15pm

Synes Bains Broomer Solicitors are a well-established law firm serving clients across North Lincolnshire and beyond. We are now seeking a professional and experienced Receptionist to run the reception at our busy Scunthorpe office.

This is a key client-facing role where you will be the first point of contact for many of our clients, visitors, and callers. We are looking for someone who takes pride in delivering excellent client care, is highly organised, and can confidently manage the front desk and day-to-day reception duties.

Responsibilities

  • Answering, screening, and directing incoming telephone calls promptly and professionally
  • Meeting and greeting clients and visitors, ensuring they feel welcome and looked after
  • Managing appointment bookings and the organisation of meeting rooms
  • Handling incoming and outgoing post and deliveries
  • Maintaining reception and meeting areas to a professional standard
  • Assisting clients with enquiries in person, by phone, and by email
  • Providing administrative support to colleagues, including scanning, filing, and other routine tasks
  • Liaising with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the office

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have previous experience in a receptionist or front-of-house role (experience in professional services is an advantage)
  • Be friendly, approachable, and professional in manner and appearance
  • Possess excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Be confident using IT systems and office equipment
  • Be able to multitask and remain calm under pressure
  • Be looking for a long-term position on reception rather than seeking progression into other areas of the firm
