The predicted salary is between 40000 - 50000 £ per year.

Acting as the essential link between company management and site operations, you will be project lead for the system maintenance and project installations at prestigious sporting venues across the UK. You will be hands-on working with your team to complete the testing and installation work; fault-finding, fibre splicing, cable termination and repair, general technical and practical assistance, preparation of materials, maintenance of equipment.

Projects include installation, inspection and testing of the company’s Outside Broadcast hardwired installations at sports stadia throughout the UK. You will have day-to-day supervisory responsibilities for the staff and technical teams working across the full range of site operations, including planning and setting work schedules, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, safely, and to client satisfaction.

Working alongside your team members, you will provide general technical, logistical and safety assistance on all projects as needed; writing and carrying out risk assessments, preparation and maintenance of equipment, inspection and testing of engineering systems installed by the company at client sites, and general technical and practical assistance on site and at base, including the organisation and upkeep of the warehouse.

From time to time you will be based in the office, linking between the project leadership, design and business development functions, and the practical implementation of processes, techniques, documentation and operational standards across all aspects of the company’s business.

Responsibilities:
  • System maintenance, testing, inspection and fault finding
  • Cable termination; soldering, crimping, fibre splicing
  • Safety leadership; writing and implementing RAMS
  • Produce site manuals detailing critical information for each venue that we visit regularly
  • Dealing with suppliers; Visiting site; Specifying work; Following up progress; Understanding and tracking variations
  • Improving technical standards and techniques: Define and document the company's technical standards
  • Define and document standard techniques: Carry out “research” to establish industry practices; Translate techniques into company video working practices
  • Advise on and develop the IT systems which sustain and support these processes
  • Procurement of critical materials and equipment
  • Documenting of quotations, jobs and invoicing
  • Scheduling projects, personnel and resources
  • Producing quotations and proposals: Defining and refining the client's requirements
  • Technical drawing: Proficient in AutoCAD drawings; Produce and maintain a core library and drawing set
  • Storing and sharing of information on the company's server
  • To deal with any people and performance issues as they arise, reporting to management as necessary
  • Responsibility for the development and participation in skills appraisals
Requirement:
