Our client is seeking skilled Fibre Installation Engineers to join their team delivering fibre-to-the-premises (FTTP) installations across the London area. The role involves carrying out Overhead (OH) and Underground (UG) fibre installations, including pre-build, full bundled installs, and MDU (Multi-Dwelling Unit) work. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality installations, ensuring safety and customer satisfaction at all times.
Responsibilities:
- Perform OH and UG fibre installations, including full end-to-end service from network build to customer connection.
- Complete pre-build and bundled installs, including routing, fibre pulling, splicing, and testing.
- Carry out MDU (Multi-Dwelling Unit) installations and internal cabling works within residential and commercial properties.
- Conduct customer premise installations, ensuring a professional and tidy finish.
- Perform OTDR and light loss testing to confirm fibre integrity.
- Accurately update job progress on company systems and complete all required documentation.
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with Health & Safety, NRSWA, and client standards.
- Liaise with planners, supervisors, and customers to resolve issues effectively and maintain excellent communication.
- Maintain tools, equipment and PPE in safe and serviceable condition.

- S7 – Fibre Optic Testing
- S8 – Fibre Jointing
- SA006 – Safe Use of Cable Avoidance Tools
- K008 – UG Hand Rodding
- NRSWA (Streetworks) – Signing, Lighting & Guarding
- Asbestos awareness
- Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable Experience:
- Previous experience working on Openreach, or similar fibre networks.
- Experience with blown fibre techniques and MDU network builds.
- Familiarity with PON and active network equipment installation.
- Experience using tablets or mobile apps for job management.
