Our client is seeking dedicated and skilled Splicing Engineers to join their fast‑growing team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the integrity and performance of their telecommunications network through various tasks related to splicing, maintenance, customer installations and network builds for both commercial and residential clients.
Responsibilities
- Perform fibre optic splicing and terminations in accordance with industry standards.
- Conduct maintenance activities on existing telecom infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.
- Execute customer installations for both commercial and residential clients, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
- Assist in the construction and expansion of telecommunications networks, including troubleshooting and problem resolution.
- Provide support for urgent repairs and installations, demonstrating flexibility and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and materials used.
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate with clients to ensure satisfaction.
Requirements
- While desired telecoms qualifications (e.g. fibre optics certification, splicing certifications) are preferred, candidates with the right attitude and aptitude will be considered.
- Relevant training courses will be provided for the right individual.
- Proven experience in fibre optic splicing and installation.
- Strong understanding of telecommunications systems and infrastructure.
- Excellent problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills to interact with clients and colleagues effectively.
