We’re looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join a friendly, high-performing People team within a purpose-driven organisation. This is a fantastic opportunity to bring your UK payroll expertise to a role that offers variety, autonomy, and real flexibility.

Why This Role?

You’ll be part of a collaborative and supportive team with a strong reputation for delivering a smooth and accurate payroll service. You’ll play a key role in ensuring colleagues are paid correctly and on time, while also contributing to ongoing improvements in payroll processes. This role is 0.7 FTE (around 25 hours per week), and the hours can be flexed to suit your schedule. Ideally, you’ll work across five days to stay closely connected with the team, but we’re open to exploring what works best for you. The role is largely remote, with just one day a week in the office.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Processing end-to-end payroll across five UK payrolls (one large, four smaller).
  • Handling manual calculations, statutory payments (SSP, SMP), RTIs, P45s/P60s, and HMRC submissions.
  • Managing new hires, leavers, absence data, and payroll changes.
  • Supporting colleagues with payroll and benefits queries via a shared inbox.
  • Collaborating with third-party payroll providers.
  • Contributing to payroll reporting and process improvements.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Proven experience in end-to-end UK payroll processing.
  • Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and statutory requirements.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Confidence in handling confidential information with care.
  • A proactive, team-focused approach with a willingness to roll up your sleeves.
  • Familiarity with HR or payroll software would be an excellent advantage.

Why You’ll Love It Here:

  • A genuinely lovely team who support each other and take pride in what they do.
  • A varied and interesting role with scope to get involved in continuous improvement.
  • A flexible, hybrid working model that fits around your life.
  • Opportunities to learn and develop in a values-led organisation that puts people first.
