About the Role

You’ll join the founding team as our first Sourcing Recruiter, taking full ownership of hiring deeply specialised technical talent in the AI space – from ML Engineers to Applied Researchers and beyond. This is a rare chance to directly shape the trajectory of the company by helping us hire the people who will build Symbolica’s core technology and future. You’ll partner with the Talent Lead to design and run strategic searches that go far beyond traditional sourcing playbooks. You’ll spend most of your time sourcing exceptional passive talent, but in certain phases, you’ll also run full-cycle processes to help us move fast. We’re looking for someone who lives and breathes sourcing, thrives in ambiguity and automation, and brings both creativity and precision to every search. This is a 5 days/week onsite role based in our London office (66 City Rd).

Your Focus

  • Own end-to-end sourcing strategy for highly specialised AI and technical roles
  • Build and nurture long-term pipelines of world-class researchers, engineers, and hybrid profiles
  • Design and implement sourcing ops, tools, AI automation, and workflows from the ground up in a zero-to-one environment
  • Identify and engage talent across unconventional channels and niche communities
  • Use advanced sourcing techniques and automation to surface hard-to-find candidates
  • Partner closely with hiring managers and the Talent Lead to deeply understand role requirements and ideal profiles
  • Take on full-cycle recruitment when needed during high-growth periods
  • Deliver a high-touch candidate experience with thoughtful communication and follow-through

About You

  • 5+ years of full-cycle recruitment experience, including at least 1 year focused on sourcing for AI/ML and other highly technical roles in deep tech domains
  • Comfortable flexing between full-time sourcing and 360-recruitment based on hiring volume
  • Proven ability to hire passive talent using creative, multi-channel strategies
  • Experience working in fast-paced, early-stage environments where structure is minimal and initiative is key
  • Deep understanding of sourcing platforms, automation tools, and Boolean/X-ray search
  • Strong written communication skills; you can pitch a compelling story to top-tier talent
  • You love the hunt – naturally curious, proactive, and obsessive about quality
