As a Part-Time Office Manager, you will take ownership of our office operations, ensuring the space runs smoothly, efficiently, and remains compliant with health and safety regulations. You’ll be responsible for managing vendors, overseeing cleaning and maintenance, stocking supplies, and acting as the primary liaison with building management. This is an onsite role based in our London office (66 City Rd), requiring 10 hours per week. We offer flexible part-time hours – whether a few full days per week or daily half-days, based on business needs and agreement with the manager – along with competitive compensation aligned with experience.
Your focus:
- Keeping the office well-stocked, organized, and running efficiently.
- Managing cleaning staff and coordinating with maintenance vendors.
- Conducting quarterly legally required health and safety checks and maintaining compliance records.
- Acting as the primary point of contact with the building management for facilities-related matters.
- Handling deliveries, managing mail/packages, and maintaining office supplies.
- Welcoming guests or job candidates occasionally, coordinating visitor access, and supporting occasional office events.
About you:
- Experience in office management, facilities coordination, or operations in a fast-moving environment.
- Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities with minimal oversight.
- Familiarity with UK workplace health & safety regulations (or willingness to learn and manage compliance).
- Available 10 hours per week, with afternoon availability preferred (but not mandatory).
- Strong communicator, comfortable liaising with vendors, cleaning teams, and building management.
