About Symbiotic

Symbiotic is the infrastructure beneath collateral markets, where capital can secure financial obligations, remain productive, and be enforced by code.

By changing the economics of onchain collateral, Symbiotic enables new categories of neofinance applications that were previously impossible to build - including credit, insurance, RWA liquidity, and more.

As institutional capital increasingly moves onchain, Symbiotic is positioned to become the coordination layer connecting capital and risk across the onchain economy.

Backed by Paradigm, Pantera, Cyber. fund, and Coinbase Ventures, we power 80+ vaults, 74,000+ active stakers, and 111 operators - with Chainlink, Nexus Mutual, and Cap Labs among the teams live in production.

  • What You’ll Do
  • Participate in all phases of frontend development: requirements analysis, architecture and design, implementation, documentation, testing, and delivery.

  • Prototype interfaces for testing mvps.
  • Develop reusable components and maintain them in Storybook.
  • Integrate new features into the existing codebase.
  • Implement blockchain and wallet interactions.
  • Design efficient approaches to client-side state management, server-state synchronization, caching, and error handling.
  • Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
  • Monitor production issues and application performance using Sentry.
  • Contribute to project estimation, planning, and technical decision-making.
  • Review code written by other team members and help maintain engineering standards.

Who You Are

  • Expert in modern React and Type Script, with strong instincts for component architecture and type-safe design
  • Production experience with Next. js, Vite, and pnpm-based monorepos
  • Deep understanding of state management — server state (Tan Stack Query), lightweight client state (Zustand or similar), and when to use which
  • Strong CSS and responsive design fundamentals; experience with component libraries such as Chakra UI
  • Able to turn Figma designs into accessible, reusable components, ideally documented in Storybook
  • Solid testing practice across unit, integration, and E2E (Vitest, Playwright), including async and wallet-interaction flows
  • Able to optimize performance (code splitting, memoization, bundle analysis, Core Web Vitals) and debug production issues with tools like Sentry
  • Security-conscious: CSP, secure wallet interactions, input validation, and safe handling of secrets
  • Confident with Git workflows, Docker, and Git Hub CI/CD; basic familiarity with Kubernetes and CDNs
  • Nice to have: experience integrating frontends with blockchain networks — wagmi/viem, wallet connection flows, transaction lifecycles, and Web3 UX

How to prepare for a job interview at Symbiotic

Brush Up on Your Coding Skills

For a full-time software engineering role, it's crucial that we stay sharp with our coding abilities. Expect technical questions that might involve solving problems on the spot or discussing algorithms. Practise on platforms like LeetCode or HackerRank to get comfortable with the types of questions that often come up.

Know Your Tools and Frameworks

Make sure we’re well-acquainted with the tools and technologies listed in the job description. Familiarise ourselves with any specific frameworks or programming languages mentioned. If Symbiotic uses React or Node.js, for instance, be ready to discuss how we’ve used them in previous projects or coursework.

Showcase Your Projects

Bring along a portfolio that highlights our best work. This could be code samples, GitHub repositories, or any side projects we’ve built. Make sure we can talk through our thought process for each project, especially the challenges we faced and how we solved them—this shows our problem-solving skills in action.

Prepare for Behavioural Questions

While technical skills are key, full-time positions also require cultural fit. Be ready to discuss our previous experiences and how we handle teamwork, conflict, and deadlines. Brush up on the STAR method—Situation, Task, Action, Result—to clearly articulate our past experiences when discussing how we've contributed to a team.
