JOB PURPOSE: As Senior Oracle Cloud ERP FINANCIALS Support Consultant (Primarily the Ledgers (AP / AR / GL) & Oracle Projects) you will have a strong background in Oracle ERP solutions, particularly the Oracle Cloud ERP Projects module, and experience in mentoring. This is a hands-on role where approximately 80% of the time will be dedicated to incident resolution, problem management and change delivery for the Customer, with the remaining time focused on wider delivery and developing the Team. This role will be aligned to one strategic Government Customer. Reporting into the Service Delivery Manager, the role will also work closely with the Account Director and other leads aligned to the account to ensure that the Customer experience exceeds expectations.

YOUR MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: In addition to the overall responsibilities above, you will be responsible for:

  • Oracle ERP Projects module Support for the Customer, including Request Fulfilment, Incident Management, Problem Management and Change.
  • Leading the resolution of complex issues related to Oracle Fusion Cloud Projects, including Project Costing, Project Billing, Project Contracts, Grants Management and Capital Projects.
  • Undertaking root cause analysis of Customer-reported issues, applying fixes where necessary, and managing them through to full resolution.
  • Managing customer expectations throughout issue resolution and change processes.
  • Working with the customer to identify and document business requirements, particularly in relation to project financials, budgeting, and resource management.
  • Ensuring good-practice / best-practice approaches are used when designing solutions and Managing the Team to deliver high-quality solutions and services.
  • Overseeing and Managing Oracle Service Requests (SRs), ensuring they are progressed effectively with Oracle.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with both internal and external Customers.
  • Proactively identifying and articulating System enhancements and process improvement opportunities related to Projects modules.
  • Ensuring full documentation of all developed solutions.
  • Supporting the customer and the wider team through testing activities, particularly in the context of Projects module updates and quarterly Oracle releases.
  • Staying up to date with the Oracle Fusion ERP roadmap, particularly enhancements to Projects modules, and advising the customer on new functionality.
  • Attending both internal and external meetings and ensuring timely follow-up on agreed actions.

PERSON SPECIFICATION - KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE / SKILLS / QUALITIES:

  • Essential: Excellent Communication / Presentation & Client-facing skills.
  • You MUST BE UK BASED to be able to carry out the work.
  • Essential: UK Government Security Clearance IS required for this role. You are not required to have this now, but you should ensure that you are eligible for and are happy to go through Security Clearance, including (but not limited to) being a UK Citizen with a MINIMUM of 10 Years’ RESIDENCE IN THE UK.
  • You will need to be BASED IN the UK to be able to carry out the Work. Please familiarise yourself with eligibility criteria prior to applying.
  • Please note that this role is a fully on-site position in C. London OR Greater Manchester and is NOT a Hybrid/Home-Working role.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Oracle ERP suite; specifically Finance (Ledgers) AND Oracle Projects will be mandatory.
