Qualifications

Responsibilities
- Develops and administers school art curriculum consistent with school district goals and objectives.
- Develops lesson plans and instructional materials and translates lesson plans into learning experiences so as to best utilize the available time for instruction.
- Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects and communicate those objectives to students.
- Employ differentiated strategies and techniques during instruction to improve the development of social studies/history skills and knowledge.
- Collect, report, and interpret data for student success.
- Attend meetings, as needed.
- Plan and conduct activities for a balanced program of instruction, demonstration, and work time that provides students with opportunities to observe questions and investigate.
- Establish and enforce rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining an environment conducive to learning for all students.
- Teach socially accepted behavior by employing techniques in an overall positive behavioral support system.
- Create, modify and implement effective behavioral intervention strategies for students based on best practice principles and current data.
- Maintain accurate and complete student records and prepare reports on students and activities, as required by laws, district policies, and administrative procedures.
- Develop plans for effective communication, monitoring, and follow-up of students and parents in classroom settings.
- Maintain professional competence in their field.
- Other duties as assigned.
