The School District of Springfield Township (SDST), located in Montgomery County, PA just outside of Philadelphia, is seeking a dynamic and student-centered leader to serve as the next Principal of Enfield Elementary, a thriving K–2 school serving approximately 531 students. The school is grounded in a strong culture of collaboration, with dedicated educators, supportive families, and engaged learners. The Principal of Enfield Elementary, as the instructional and operational leader, works collaboratively with staff, families, and district leadership to ensure our district’s strategic plan, equity initiatives, and Profile of a Graduate are aligned to establish a strong academic and social foundation for students at the very beginning of their educational journey. The next principal will have the opportunity to build on a solid and strong foundation as they support faculty and staff to deepen instructional practices and continue strengthening a positive and inclusive school culture focused on young learners. In the coming year, we will embark on a comprehensive mathematics curriculum review and resource adoption as we target continuous improvement in meeting the needs of each learner in our school.

Key Responsibilities:
Instructional Leadership- Lead high-quality teaching and learning in early literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional development
- Support implementation of district curriculum, including CKLA and Responsive Classroom practices
- Use data to monitor student progress and guide instructional decision-making
- Provide meaningful and actionable feedback through classroom observations
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and student-centered school environment
- Promote developmentally appropriate practices and behaviour supports
- Build strong partnerships with families through consistent and transparent communication and engagement
- Supervise, support, and evaluate staff
- Provide ongoing, relevant professional learning
- Build leadership capacity and encourage collaboration among staff
- Oversee daily school operations, including scheduling, supervision, and facilities
- Manage the school budget in alignment with district priorities
- Coordinate with district departments including transportation, food services, and student services
- Ensure compliance with all district, state, and federal requirements
- Lead MTSS processes in collaboration with counselors, psychologists, and specialists
Qualifications Required:
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in education or a related field
- Valid Pennsylvania Principal K–12 certification
- Minimum of three (3) years of administrative experience
Preferred:
- Experience as an elementary school principal or assistant principal
- Experience in an elementary school setting (teaching, counseling, or related role)
Terms of Employment: Full-time position in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Administrative Compensation Plan. Start date is July 1, 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter.
